73 Questions with Me: A Peek Inside The Style Bungalow

If you’ve ever watched Vogue’s 73 Questions series, you know how much fun it is to see celebrities answer rapid-fire prompts about their lives, careers, and quirks. Today, I thought it would be fun to do the same—only this time, the spotlight is on me. From my early days juggling ballet and barista shifts to the present, here are 73 things you might not know about me (and maybe didn’t even think to ask!).

Beginnings & Firsts

Blogging started out as a small passion project. A few months in, an unexpected opportunity came my way that completely shifted my perspective. Suddenly, what once felt like a side hobby became something I knew I wanted to pursue full-time.

As for “The Style Bungalow”? The name came together in a rather unglamorous way—definitely not the polished story you’d expect. But over time, it grew into something meaningful, becoming a reflection of both my personal journey and my creative vision.

My first “real” job was at a coffee shop. With early 5AM call times squeezed between ballet training, I wasn’t exactly a stellar barista, but I did love greeting customers and making their day a little brighter. Eventually, they moved me up front, where my smile did more good than my latte art.

Style, Fashion & The Ever-Evolving Industry

If I could pick any era to live in, it would be the 1930s. Chic makeup, bold shoulder pads, florals, and a touch of Old Hollywood glamour—it was a stylish, transformative decade.

Fashion itself has shifted drastically since I started blogging. The biggest change? The conversation around sustainability. Today, brands are expected to be transparent about their practices, their fabrics, and their values. Social media plays a huge role too, not just as a marketing tool but as a bridge between brands and their communities. Sometimes, collections launch entirely on Instagram—proof of just how much the digital landscape is shaping fashion.

When it comes to styling, I could do it endlessly. My go-to look? A midi skirt paired with a billowy blouse—chic, feminine, and versatile. My best styling advice? Stick to what flatters your body and skin tone rather than blindly chasing trends. Choose classics. Don’t over-accessorize. Keep makeup minimal but add a strong lip. And remember: imperfection is stylish—messy hair, a slightly untucked shirt, or smudged eyeliner can make a look come alive.

Life, Love & Everyday Joys

Starting out, I was terrified of putting myself out there. After leaving ballet and a rocky stint in public relations, blogging felt risky. But taking that leap was the best decision I ever made.

In 2019, another highlight came my way—I got engaged. Sharing life with my fiancé is truly one of my greatest joys, whether it’s dancing around the house, cooking vegan tacos together, or curling up for a Harry Potter marathon with Christmas cookies in hand.

Family means everything to me. Not seeing them during difficult times has been one of the hardest sacrifices, especially when distance was just a mile or two away but safety meant staying apart. That longing has only deepened my appreciation for the moments we do get together.

Daily Life & Passions

Outside of fashion, I’m always reading and researching. Coffee table books that once served as décor now double as sources of inspiration. Ballet classes still center me, even virtually, and exercise remains a powerful outlet for both body and mind.

I treasure pieces that carry personal history—like my grandmother’s pearl-encrusted clutch. I find joy in shopping for things that last: timeless athleisure, thoughtful home goods, and beautiful linens.

My sense of style in three words? Timeless. Feminine. Chic.

Favorites, Fun & A Few Surprises

Movies I’ve recently loved? Emma for its charm, Good Boys for its laughs. My dream script to have written? Sex and the City, of course.

For workouts, nothing beats the challenge of a traditional Cuban ballet class—or the fun of hip hop. Music-wise, my playlists range from Lil Wayne to Big Sean.

Coffee is a ritual: Nespresso’s Melozio blend with hazelnut oat milk and a sprinkle of raw sugar. Comfort food? Always my fiancé’s vegan tacos.

And while trends come and go, I’ll always admire originality and artistry. What tires me out is seeing the same “Instagram aesthetic” recycled over and over. Give me something new, thoughtful, and full of life—that’s the kind of fashion that inspires me.

Looking Ahead

The future of fashion feels more intimate. Smaller shows, slower drops, and a return to craftsmanship. I think people are craving connection and meaning, not just consumption. Personally, I’ve always been drawn to small brands, cozy gatherings, and mindful living, so I feel ready for that shift.

At the end of the day, my work has always been about more than “what to buy.” It’s about storytelling, inspiration, and finding beauty in both the extraordinary and the everyday.

Answering these 73 questions was not just fun—it was also a little trip down memory lane. Each answer holds a piece of my journey, from ballet studios to blog posts, from 5AM shifts to finding my true calling. I hope you got to know me a little better—and maybe even found a nugget of inspiration for your own story.
